The hottest of all the days got folks out bright and early in order to beat the midday heat...

I left a bit later in the morning, traveling with the SAG wagon to a midway point. Along the way I liked how the windmills dotted the sky line.

Once my captain Ann got to my location, she traded her single bike for the tandem and me.  HOT....very HOT. I was happy that I was only doing an abbreviated ride...and yes, my seat is still an issue. I am mulling over putting the hard white seat that Dara sent to me, although I am nervous about being out on a ride only to find out that the seat is the worst I have ever sat on.  hmmmm.
the approach to the midway point

bicycles on telephone poles are the rage!

This bike is in need of some SAG support.

So my ride was not difficult, the route was actually great but OY!....my seat is killing me.

PFP couldn't have gotten luckier this year. Last night we stayed at the long-time school friend of Jay, Tonya's summer lake house in Lakeview. Dinner served, showers and laundry provided and the always appreciated airconditioned sleeping space.

The night was extra special as we toasted Jay for all of his work with PD. We presented him with a book of how we each felt PFP had changed our lives.  Champagne served...

for the some, the combination of champagne and a hot long ride led them straight to slumber...
It was a hard ride but a fun day. It seems that people are getting to know one another all while learning something new about PD. And in the end, we are all getting spoiled by this special treatment. Rumor has it, IT changes tomorrow.
